    It’s OK to be tired.

    Occasionally since the COVID-19 crisis began to really escalate, I found myself feeling really unmotivated and exhausted throughout the day. I felt frustrated that I was experiencing such a big energy and mood slump. While there was some residual stuff that contributed to this from BC (Before Corona), I probably was a little hard on myself. It wasn’t really until last weekend when my husband went out and did the grocery shopping for us, my elderly grandparents and his own parents (over 70) that I completely realised just how draining all of this really is.     I can’t get no sleep.

    Yeah, yeah. It’s a double negative, but you know what I mean. Also, it’s a song lyric by Faithless. Remember that one? As I type this, I am hoping that tonight will be the night I remember how to sleep well. It’s been a while. And I know why. It’s been the perfect storm of everything. Often I’ll fall asleep exhausted and then wake up a couple of short hours later and just never get back to my slumbering. Or I’ll spend hours and hours trying to get sleepy at all, only to doze off way too late to rack up some decent hours. It’s been truly frustrating. I’ve tried…
